​          Born in Vigo, Spain, Macus Alonso is a multidisciplinary artist. Traveling around the world has inspired many of her pieces. She began experimenting with jewelry while living in West Africa and continued in Chicago. She received her art degree from UIC. Since then she has not stopped creating art. Her current focus is process art and working primarily in weaving, crocheting and knitting among others.
